I have always written letters, because in my opinion it gives the personal touch, writing an email looks clinical, a letter shows you have taken the time to sit and write

I think writing a letter is great as everyone would like to receive one in the post and you can put as little or much as you want in it and still make the receiver happy .

Isn’t it nice when the postman brings something other than bills and leaflets? I love to give a smile to people, it makes me smile inside xx

I write letters to my schoolfriend, we’ve been writing to each other for over 40 years, I’ve kept them all and recently copied them and sent them to her in instalments.

What I like about sending and receiving letters is that it is more personal and more special than txting or sending a message online. It’s nice xx

I love writing letters, they are so much more personal than a simple text. Recieving a letter means someone took the trouble to source paper and walk to the post office, therefore it means so much more to both of you

I live in Scotland and a friend in Birmingham and I have recently started writing letters to each other. It’s been really therapeutic for both of us actually, and it just feels very personal. It’s quite vulnerable as we discuss our current state of mind etc but feels so much meaningful than quick Whatsapps.

It reminds me of times before the internet and email.I must delete 100s of emails a day but a letter I will keep and read over and over again.

It is nice to actually write, rather than typing and the recipient has a letter to keep, rather than an electronic missive. It is always nice to receive a letter in the post.

I love the permanence of a letter. Emails- texts – they’re OK but not the same. I love digging out my shoebox and reading old love letters. There’s just something more thoughtful about a handwritten letter.

Ir goes back to the old days when pen and paper was the main form of communication

It is extra special because it is so personal and takes more thought to do

What a lovely prize ❤️🤗 Would be such a nice treat to brighten up these tough times and who doesn’t love to sit down and write or read a letter 📝💌 Texts are easy to send but a letter means so much more. A letter is intimate, personal and real. Words on paper carry emotional feeling, warmth and sentiment that a text can never express. I will never forget my mum sitting down to show me all the letters Dad wrote to her while they were first dating 👩‍❤️‍💋‍👨 Receiving a letter is always very special to me. Makes me feel loved, cared for and appreciated🙏 Please pop me in the hat and fingers crossed 🤞☘️
